Group-wide transformation project awarded to Natuvion after tender.
Natuvion, a company specializing in digital migrations, is supporting the Volkswagen Group in migrating to SAP S/4HANA as a central competency partner with its transformation software solutions and transformation expertise. The extensive migration encompasses all SAP Business Suite 7 systems used within the Volkswagen group. As an experienced transformation specialist in the automotive industry, Natuvion offers the necessary flexibility to meet the diverse requirements of this migration. The first projects have already begun.
With the end of maintenance for SAP Business Suite 7 approaching, the Volkswagen Group has decided to expedite the transformation of its systems to SAP S/4HANA. Natuvion's team is contributing to this process with its expertise, strategic planning, and content preparation for the transformation. This includes analyzing existing systems and data pools, strategy planning, data migration, and the automated conversion of Volkswagen's proprietary developments. The goal is to conduct the migration in a timely, flexible, and resource-efficient manner. Natuvion is utilizing its high-performance transformation platform, Natuvion Data Conversion Server (DCS), which covers all migration scenarios such as Greenfield, Brownfield and Selective Data Transition (SDT). Additionally, Natuvion is providing training to Volkswagen Group's internal SAP S/4HANA Transformation Factory Team and supports them with internationally experienced transformation experts, both internally and through a well-trained partner network.
"We are truly proud to accompany this major transformation project at the Volkswagen Group,” explains Patric Dahse, Founder and CEO of Natuvion. “There are few comparable transformation projects worldwide. We are especially pleased to be supporting Volkswagen's team with our expertise gained from numerous other large transformations. Natuvion not only impressed Volkswagen with its extensive experience, but also with its internally developed transformation strategies and tools, which make a project of this magnitude possible. This enables us to provide crucial support to the Volkswagen Group in terms of timeframe, budget, necessary resources, and, of course, implementation."
"With the in-house SAP S/4HANA Transformation Factory, we are establishing much more than just a transformation task force,” adds Joachim Markus, Department Head of SAP Group xDomain Architecture & Platform at Volkswagen, describing the collaboration. “Rather, this is a strategic corporate unit that is acquiring the knowledge and capability to shape and implement the scope of the SAP S/4HANA transformation over years – including the coordination of already planned parallel projects. We need a mix of building internal expertise and the experience of external specialists like Natuvion to prepare us for the significant tasks and to future-proof ourselves in the ERP domain.”
The intelligent transformation software, Natuvion Data Conversion Server (DCS), is a complete Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) platform. It allows data to be extracted, transformed, and then imported into a defined target system from various source systems. Moreover, Natuvion DCS can extensively analyze master data before the ETL process and validate its correctness after migration. This makes it an Analyze, Extract, Transform, Load, Validate (A-ETL-V) platform.
Selective data transformation enables the Volkswagen Group to transfer all necessary data and processes while benefiting from new technological innovations, as it combines the advantages of both Brownfield and Greenfield migrations. As one of only three global partners selected by SAP as pioneers for the SAP S/4HANA Selective Data Transition Engagement, Natuvion is among the world’s leading experts in this type of transformation project.
