The GDPR applies in Europe, but the regulation also affects US companies that collect, process, manage, or store the data of Europe and residents, including employees, partners, vendors, and customers.
The brand-new California Consumer Privacy Act has similar compliance requirements. It lets technology users ask for the data that a company has collected on demand to whom the data has been sold. In the US, there is no single, comprehensive federal(national) law regulating the collection and use of personal data. However, each Congressional term brings proposals to create new laws and in addition, there are many guidelines, developed by government agencies and industry groups that donot have the force of law, but that are considered “bestpractices,” for example HIPAA, FTC Act, and GLB Act. With these new and changing laws, it’s time for companies in the US to rethink approaches to data privacy. Natuvion can help!

A 2014 company, Natuvion GmbH, a SAP Gold Partner headquartered in Walldorf, Germany, foresaw opportunities with these compliance challenges and spent 2016 through today working with EU companies to create best practices, templates, and even complementary SAP technology to meet GDPR compliance. Natuvion’s expert consultants and blend of on-demand software packages has earned the company some very powerful clientele, such as Germany’s largest utilities companies and famous US product brands. Natuvion is proud to announce that they are launching these best practices to implement EU’s GDPR requirements and other regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act in the US—all  with the support of their brand-new GDPR  Competence Center. The world’s only GDPR Competence Center provides clients with access to some of the most experienced SAP consultants in the world, for example experts in SAP solutions, such as Information Lifecycle Management [ILM], experienced program managers, as well as a legal team.

Natuvion’s boutique offerings are unique because they offer complete business-process support that include legal, organization, and technical guidance hand in hand. For example, they have created a simple to follow 11-step program for EU-GDPR compliance that makes it easy to merge the legal team objectives for compliance with a practical set of cost-effective IT projects.

“Being an SAP Gold and Co Innovation Partner with the development teams based in Walldorf, we stay informed and involved in all the latest developments. Opportunities—like building new apps on SAP Cloud Platform, such as our new “DSRApp” to automate the processing of nine of the GDPR articles that specify Data-Subject-Rights—has been a successful strategy for us,” says Patric Dahse and Joanne Lang, Co-CEOs of Natuvion America.

In addition to the DSRApp, Natuvion is planning for an exciting release of their new Cut over App, which is also developed on SAP Cloud Platform.TheCutoverApp is the best tool for planning, executing, and monitoring cutover projects during that critical, often managed to the minute, “go-live weekends or periods.” The Cutover App is unique because its core functionality is the transformation of Excel-based project plans in to executable BPMN workflows. Through this innovative approach, the app combines the flexibility of Excel-based project plans with the stability of BPMN-based workflow systems, along with ametrics-based dashboard to keep everyone on task and provide management with real-time reporting.

Natuvion’s long- term purpose is to help businesses implement multiple layers of security across many vast networks of connected devices and applications that use cloud-based services. The goal is to protect the people, property, and data that are crucial to running any company.
Natuvion is looking forward to mirroring what has already been established in Walldorf, Germany, with SAP headquarters in Newton Square, USA.
